Products needed

Did you know that May 15th is the International Day of Families? Mother Teresa once said: “If you want to change the world, go home and love your family”. We have nothing to add – the importance of family is crucial.

This year we invite you to celebrate International Day of Families with some examples of how! Here is a list of fun activities that you can enjoy together with your closest ones.

Family portrait time

When was the last time you took a picture all together? You don’t need to wait for a special or an important occasion – organize a theme photo session for your family and have fun with it. Dress as your favorite movie characters or impersonate each other! You will create fond memories and who knows – maybe you will start a new family tradition.

Family stories time

Take some time to reminisce about funny stories, acquaint your youngsters with family heirloom or simply jog your memory with fairy tales that you used to love as children. Like photos, stories created will save precious memories from being forgotten.

DIY project time

From making a family collage to family dictionary or board games, it goes without saying that grand possibilities for having fun will follow. Use crayons, glitter and scissors, choose your project and enjoy the process.

Of course, we haven’t forgotten one classic family activity – cooking together! The food tastes better when it’s prepared with love and it gets even better when everyone participates in it! Today’s recipe is a fine spring salad, so easy to prepare that you can fully entrust it to your youngest!

Ingredients

  • Green lentils, previously cooked
  • Spring greens to taste
  • Red and spring onions
  • Finely chopped garlic
  • Fresh mint
  • Fresh dill
  • Olive oil
  • Lemon juice
  • Greek yoghurt
  • Prima Classic

How to make

Cook the lentils in salty water, making sure not to overcook them. In case that your choice of spring greens is chard or patience dock, blanch them briefly. In case that your choice is baby spinach, arugula or ramsons, use them fresh. The same applies to radish, that should be finely chopped.

Add greens, chopped onion, mint and dill to the cooled lentils. Season with olive oil, lemon juice and Greek yoghurt. If you are in a good mood to experiment, add a couple of pomegranate seeds for decoration.

Enjoy this refreshing spring salad with Prima Classic sticks in good company of your closest ones. Bon Appetit!
